Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York, Tomy spent years doing makeup for celebrity clients before opening his own studio Uptown. He built the kind of beauty business he couldn't find: careful work, fair prices, and a chair where everyone is welcome. Today, Tomy Rivero Beauty carries that vision across two Uptown studios: Beauty Lab in Washington Heights and Beauty Café in Inwood.
With a vision to move away from “normal beauty standards,” Tomy built Tomy Rivero Beauty around celebrating individuality and helping every client feel seen, valued, and beautiful in their own unique way. That care carries through both Beauty Lab and Beauty Café.
